The museum-reserve's exhibition halls are located in the former building of the main factory administration of the Demidovs' Nizhny Tagil mining-and-metallurgical district. The building is an architectural monument of the first half of the 19th century; its construction was completed in 1833. The exhibition 'Carte postale. Mirror of an Era' features postcards from the 'Philocartia' collection that were issued in the country from the late 19th century until the late 20th century. They are dedicated to socio-political themes, events of domestic and international importance, sporting events, as well as historical and commemorative dates. At the exhibition 'Such Familiar Animals' visitors can learn about the wildlife of the Middle Urals—the lifestyle, habits, and diet of the inhabitants of the Ural forest.
