About exhibition

Temporary exhibitions are open to visitors; their themes change periodically, but the central focus remains the history and culture of the Mordovian region. The exhibitions are dedicated to prominent figures in science, culture and the arts, sports and industry—natives of Mordovia—key events in the region's history, and the area's ethnographic characteristics. Visitors can see unique items from the museum's collections: original historical documents, photographs, personal belongings of well-known Mordovian natives, works of fine and decorative-applied arts, extensive ethnographic, archaeological, paleontological and numismatic collections, taxidermy mounts and much more.
