Virtual journey through Dagestan
About exhibition
Using virtual reality headsets, visitors will be able to see Dagestan's main sights — historical monuments and natural beauties. Among them are the ancient auls of Chokh and Goor, the Sulak Canyon, the natural landmarks of the Matlas Plateau, the Preobrazhenskaya Fortress in Botlikh (founded in the mid-19th century), the Andi Koysu, the Karabakh Gorge, the Gunib Plateau and the Sary-Kum sand dune. The virtual journey will conclude with a viewing of Derbent's architectural gems — the Juma Mosque, the oldest mosque in Russia and the CIS, and the Naryn-Kala citadel, whose history dates back to the 6th century. Visitors will be able to enjoy three-dimensional panoramas of Dagestan's most remarkable places, experience full immersion and see the famous sights from a bird's-eye view.
