Virtual exhibition "The Office of Jean-Jacques Notton, Manager of the Chusovoy Plant"
About exhibition
Chusovoy is a town whose history began with the construction of a metallurgical plant. The plant's first managers were French. They equipped the plant under construction with the most modern technologies of their time. By the 1880s it was one of the leading enterprises not only in the Perm Governorate but in the entire Urals. Thanks to 21st-century technologies, it has been possible to recreate the office of Jean-Jacques Notton, who managed the plant in the 19th century. Here, by looking out the window, you can see the town as it was more than a century ago, examine the plant's products (rolled metal), read the documents Notton left on his desk, and even leave him a memento note written with the manager's pen. An audio guide tells the story of the Chusovoy plant's development. Visits are individual and use a VR headset.
