Tula Potters' Sloboda. The Story of Its Discovery

Exhibition project is dedicated to the history of the Tula potters' sloboda of the 16th–18th centuries. Visitors will be shown exhibits related to Tula's pottery production. The exhibition tells the story of the production traditions of Tula craftsmen, their products and technical facilities. For the first time, artifacts obtained as a result of many years of archaeological research will be presented: pottery, household items, examples of decorative and applied arts, industrial and building ceramics. The exhibition will feature around 200 items from the collections of the State Museum-Reserve "Kulikovo Field".
