Presented are 17 photo panels measuring 100 x 70 cm, reflecting the clash of two countries, two armies, and two ideologies in the epochal battle of World War II and the role the USSR's victory in the Battle of Stalingrad played in world history. The Battle of Stalingrad was one of the most important and largest major battles of World War II and the Great Patriotic War between the Red Army and the Wehrmacht, supported by the armies of the Axis countries, ending in victory for the Red Army (RKKA). The battle took place from July 17, 1942 to February 2, 1943 on the territory of the present-day Voronezh, Rostov, and Volgograd regions and the Republic of Kalmykia. The exhibition is intended to illustrate the consequences of the military actions for both sides, and the scale of the casualties and destruction caused by fascist aggression.
