About exhibition

The program includes the museum's permanent exhibition, consisting of sections of ancient icon painting, folk art, contemporary art of Karelia, as well as Russian and national art. Also available is the Western European art exhibition, which introduces visitors to the painting and sculptural works of masters from the Dutch, Venetian, German and French schools of the 16th–20th centuries, and the 'Universe of Kalevala' exhibition dedicated to the epic 'Kalevala'. You will find an interactive exhibition and an immersive journey into the atmosphere of ancient legends and ancestral traditions. As part of the program you can also visit the museum's temporary exhibitions and the exhibitions hosted at the 'Art-Prospect' exhibition space.
