Permanent exhibition of Western European and Russian painting of the 17th–20th centuries
About exhibition
The exhibition features works by Flemish, Dutch, French, and German masters of the 16th–19th centuries. It also includes a collection of Russian art from the 18th to the early 20th century and a collection of Western European painting and graphic arts of the 17th–19th centuries from the holdings of the Vologda Regional Art Gallery. Paintings by Kuindzhi, Repin, Aivazovsky, Borovikovsky, Polenov, Makovsky, Kustodiev, and other outstanding masters are included in the permanent exhibition of Western European and Russian painting of the 17th–20th centuries. The painting collection is complemented by bronze and marble works by French and Russian masters.
