Permanent exhibition at the Sovetsky District Museum "Chomy"
About exhibition
The main exhibition tells the story of the native region and the construction of the first and only hydroelectric power station on the Ob River. Residents and visitors can be transported by a time machine to the distant 1950s, during the construction of the Novosibirsk hydroelectric power station (HPP). Among the many buildings and structures of that time was a small one‑story house. You will enter the historic "Foreman's Office" building, visit the "Russian chamber", and see the "Hydro‑Builder's" room with a unique item weighing more than 100 kg. In this room the hydro‑construction workers received work assignments, work clothes, and discussed further construction plans for the HPP.
