Permanent exhibition of the Ulyanovsk Regional Museum
About exhibition
In the halls of the natural history department, visitors can learn about the relief of the Ulyanovsk Region, its mineral resources and geological past, as well as its present plant and animal life. Dioramas present characteristic landscape elements: steppes, aquatic and forest environments. The history department's exhibition includes more than 500 exhibits that illuminate the region's history, from the earliest times up to the events of the February Revolution of 1917. The exhibition "War. Victory. Memory" is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War and to Ulyanovsk's being awarded the title "City of Labour Valor." The materials reflect the contribution of Ulyanovsk residents, both soldiers and home-front workers, to the Victory. The exhibition displays authentic objects and photographs from the museum's collection.
