The Balakovo Art Gallery's exhibition presents the history of the opening of the first branch of the Radishchev Museum, which became accessible to the public in the large industrial city of Balakovo in the Saratov Region in 1977. The exhibition provides a unique opportunity to gain an expanded understanding of the collection of the Saratov State Art Museum named after A. N. Radishchev: from a collection of Old Russian art, classical sculpture, the "porcelain fairy tale" of the 18th–20th centuries, and masterpieces of the Peredvizhniki to works by contemporary conceptual artists in the museum garden.
