Permanent exhibition “Features of the literary process in the Belgorod Region. 18th–21st centuries”
About exhibition
The permanent exhibition acquaints visitors with the development and particularities of the literary process in the Belgorod Region from the 18th to the 21st century, shaping an understanding of the significance of the contribution made by Belgorod writers and cultural figures to the national heritage of Russia and the Belgorod Region. The interiors of the museum halls invite visitors into the era when the poet and publicist V. F. Raevsky, the poet-educator N. V. Stankevich, the literary scholar and censor A. V. Nikitenko, the writer and folklore collector N. S. Kokhanovskaya, and the critic and philosopher N. N. Strakhov lived. Documents, letters, photographs and personal belongings introduce the writer and traveler V. Ya. Eroshenko, the Pushkin scholar A. I. Hessen, the inventor and man of letters N. D. Anoshchenko, and the literary scholar E. V. Yevgenyev-Maksimov. The exhibition concludes with halls devoted to the history of the Belgorod writers' organization and to the work of contemporary writers. Admission is free for students of the Belgorod Region.
