About exhibition
The collection of the State Museum Association 'Artistic Culture of the Russian North' comprises more than 6,000 artifacts of Christian culture dating from the 14th to the 20th centuries. The collection includes rare examples of painting, sculpture and decorative and applied arts collected from the Arkhangelsk North. The permanent exhibition also features a collection of folk art of the Russian North: Northern Russian folk costume, Kholmogory bone carving, painted and carved woodwork, weaving and embroidery, and clay toys.
