Permanent exhibition of the A. A. Borisov Museum
About exhibition
The museum invites visitors to explore the mysterious world of the Arctic with shimmering stars, the Northern Lights and blizzards, and to see antique maps and Arctic sketches. A sense of being part of the experience and total immersion in the atmosphere of the Far North is created through modern design and impressive video installations. Alexander Alekseevich Borisov was a painter of international renown, a pupil of the foremost landscape painters Ivan Shishkin and Arkhip Kuindzhi. He was the first polar artist and the founder of the artistic exploration of the Arctic, creating monumental images of the Far North.
