Permanent exhibition of the Voronin Local History Museum

The Mordovia Republican United Local History Museum named after I. D. Voronin is the largest repository of monuments of nature, history, and the material and spiritual culture of the Mordovian people, and one of the leading scientific and methodological centers of the republic with highly qualified museum specialists. A landmark event in 2017 was the completion of the museum-archive complex and the opening of the museum in its new premises. Total area – 5,090 sq. m., exhibition area – 2,180 sq. m., storage and research area – 1,440 sq. m. Visitors can explore five thematic halls: ethnography, archaeology, historical, contemporary history, and the natural history of the region. In addition, guests can see two exhibition halls hosting thematic exhibitions. For the youngest visitors there is a children's museum where various workshops, programs, and events are held.
