Permanent exhibition of the Balashikha Historical and Local Lore Museum

The museum's exhibition is organized chronologically and begins with the earliest times. Archaeological excavations have been carried out on the territory of Balashikha; the finds are displayed in display cases and include fragments of pottery, women's jewelry and tools. The next section tells about the life and everyday routine of the Russian peasant, presented as part of an izba with household items. Several noble estates are located in Balashikha, some of which have partly preserved their architectural and park ensembles. An interior corner with furniture, books and items of decorative and applied art helps immerse visitors in the atmosphere of estate life. The exhibition dedicated to the Balashikha cotton-spinning mill tells visitors about Balashikha during the capitalist period. The next two halls cover the city's modern history, showing the heroic chapters of our past—the Great Patriotic War and smaller local conflicts—as well as Balashikha's Soviet period. The Nature Hall introduces the plant and animal life of the Balashikha region.
