About exhibition
The museum invites you to the ethnographic exhibition "Interior of a Komi Izba," where visitors will learn about the traditional dwelling of the Komi people, its interior furnishings and household items, and find out the purpose of the stove in the home and what the "krasny ugol" (the "red corner") is. The exhibition, shown as a section of a Komi izba, features: a stove, furniture, tableware, a weaving loom, the izba's owners (residents) in national costumes, an infant cradle called a "zybka" attached to a flexible pole, an antique patterned mirror, period lighting objects that provided light in the home, and much more.
