Permanent exhibition of the A. K. Denisov-Ural Center for the History of Stonecutting
About exhibition
The center's space is divided into two zones. The first is theoretical, introducing visitors to the main stages of the history of stonecutting in the Urals, its mineralogical wealth, and specific episodes related to the work of quarrymen and stonecutters. A separate hall showcases the work of the famous Ural native Aleksei Kozmich Denisov-Ural. The second zone is practical. In a specially equipped workshop space, under the guidance of master instructors, groups of children and adults can learn the techniques of working with colored stone and try their hand at creating a piece.
