Visiting the local history museum's exhibitions
About exhibition
The V. E. Rozov Local History Museum is housed in a two-story building — a regional architectural monument, the former Illuzion “Modern” cinema building (1915). It consists of five halls. There is a hall dedicated to the history of the founding of the Far East and the development of Nikolaevsk-on-Amur and the Nikolaevsk district; a hall of ethnography and archaeology; a nature hall; and the “Illuzion Modern” hall. Visitors can see unique items from the ethnographic collection (robes made of fish skin, ritual vessels, protective amulets), use an audio guide to appreciate the national character, view documents from the 19th-century Amur Expedition, and learn about events of the Civil War.
