In the Footsteps of the Unsung Heroes of War. The Home Front to the Front

October 1941. Plant No. 367, which produced Shpagin submachine guns (PPSh), was relocated to Vyatskiye Polyany. In the museum session you will learn how the "Molot" factory was created, how trains with equipment were unloaded and transported to the factory grounds, how issues with food and materials, firewood and tools were resolved, and why the work of home-front workers is called a "labor feat." During the tour you will see military equipment and weapons, uniforms, documents, personal items, machines, photographs, clothing and household objects. The knowledge gained on the tour will be reinforced by an independent research activity. The session will conclude with the creation of a short summary reflecting the main events in the hometown and at the "Molot" factory during the Great Patriotic War.
