About exhibition
The A. S. Pushkin State Museum is one of the largest literary museums in Russia, located in the center of Moscow in the historic noble estate of the Khrushchev–Seleznev family. It is one of the best examples of Moscow Empire-style architecture. The museum complex includes the permanent exhibition "Pushkin and His Era" and interactive halls for children "Tales of A. S. Pushkin." The permanent exhibition "Pushkin and His Era" is housed in 15 halls of the main house of the Khrushchev–Seleznev estate. Built on a biographical principle, it presents the life and work of the poet, his contemporaries and the heroes of his works, and the culture and everyday life of Pushkin's time. The 'Eugene Onegin', 'The Queen of Spades', 'The Captain's Daughter' and 'The Bronze Horseman' halls, dedicated to Pushkin's works, help visitors imagine the living conditions of his characters and learn about the era, the prototypes of the characters, biographical facts, household items, views of Russian cities, and works of 19th-century art.
