Main exhibition of the Bubnov Family House‑Museum
About exhibition
The museum's exhibition is dedicated to the history of the Bubnov family. Special attention is paid to Andrei Sergeyevich Bubnov — a revolutionary, prominent political figure, and People's Commissar of Education of the USSR. Materials from the family's archives were used to create the exhibition, acquainting visitors with the family's way of life, traditions, and relationships. In the memorial space the appearance of the family drawing room has been restored, where A. S. Bubnov and his family spent time; visitors can see a family mirror approximately 150 years old and household items from the 19th–20th centuries. The museum building itself is the only surviving house with a mezzanine in the city of Ivanovo.
