Main exhibition of the Central House of Aviation and Cosmonautics
About exhibition
The main exhibition is located in seven themed halls that display unique aviation and space relics acquired by the museum over past decades. The aviation halls exhibit models of almost every aircraft from the birth of aviation to the present, unique aircraft mechanisms, aircraft engines, documents and photographs. The space halls present the history of rocket engineering: visitors can see rocket models, early rocket engines and artificial Earth satellites, the training cabin of the first space dog Laika, spacesuits, equipment, cosmonaut food and much more. The museum also houses the actual training cockpit of the Buran space shuttle.
