About exhibition

Six temporary exhibitions on various subjects are presented: 'Relics of the Don Cossacks' (cavalry and infantry weapons, items of traditional life, trophies, awards, banners); 'Old Rostov' (the city's history from the 18th to the early 20th century); 'Proletarian, to the Horse!' (the Civil War in southern Russia); 'Weapons of Victory in the Battles of the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945)'; 'A Time of Hopes and Achievements' (everyday life in the Don region in the 1950s); and 'Nature of the Don' (taxidermy specimens of contemporary fauna). The exhibitions reveal the history of the Don region.
