Memorial Exhibition of the N. A. Dobrolyubov Museum
About exhibition
The memorial exhibition of the N. A. Dobrolyubov Museum tells the story of the family life of provincial priest Alexander Ivanovich Dobrolyubov. Unique books and children’s toys, tableware and clothing introduce the everyday world and interests of Nikolay Dobrolyubov, whose childhood and youth were spent in Nizhny Novgorod. Seminary studies and first love, self-discipline and self-education, attitudes toward religion and the history of his native region, his first literary attempts, the endurance of family customs and traditions, and Nikolay Dobrolyubov’s fraternal heroism — these are the themes the museum’s exhibition presents. Admission ticket for self-guided viewing of the memorial exhibition.
