Interactive exhibition "From the Past with Love"
About exhibition
The exhibition features more than a thousand exhibits collected by the library staff or donated by the residents of Lipetsk. Books, photographs, letters, documents, clothing, toys, household items — each object here is not only unique in itself but also has its own story. The "Village Izba" section, alongside a spinning wheel, examples of peasant clothing and embroidered towels (rushnyky), includes a genuine wooden mortar hollowed out by an unknown craftsman from a single piece of wood two centuries ago. The "Urban Apartment" section presents visitors with the hobbies of Soviet people: collections of cameras, stamps, badges, postcards, and coins. A separate display, "On the Waves of Memory," is devoted to radio equipment and has recently been supplemented with new items. On one of the tables you can even see an Underwood typewriter manufactured in 1900. The "Developed Socialism" section covers the period from the 1940s to the 1980s — antiquarian books about Dzerzhinsky, works by Stalin, Lenin and Brezhnev, pennants, medals, and honorary certificates awarded to winners of socialist competitions. Items commemorating the Great Patriotic War are displayed separately. The number of places is limited. Advance booking by phone: 38-84-10.
