About exhibition

A new multimedia permanent exhibition "Russia, the USSR in 1917 – the early 1950s" has opened at the Museum of Contemporary Russian History, bringing together all the museum sections that reveal the main events in our country's history from the mid-19th century to the present day. The new exhibition, consisting of six halls, reflects themes important for understanding the Russian historical process, such as the October Revolution, the Civil War, the formation of the USSR, industrialization, collectivization, the Great Patriotic War, and the implementation of the Soviet atomic project. Its focal point is an interactive map of the Civil War in Russia. Thanks to original technical solutions, vivid graphics, and unique content, it presents the dramatic events of the fratricidal war in a clear and informative way.
