Unabashed emotions of the characters, incredible sensuality and spirituality — all of this plays a major role in Vasily Nesterenko's work. Vasily Igorevich is highly versatile and masters many genres. In his landscape painting he conveys a sense of scale and captures the mood and atmosphere prevailing in the air. The military-historical and battle genres are among the most complex in pictorial art; they embody the highest achievements of portrait and landscape painting and still life, yet Vasily Nesterenko is a recognized master here as well. In addition, the artist works virtuously in the portrait genre; the master's works can be divided into several directions: historical, ceremonial, intimate (chamber), female, and theatrical portrait. All this and even more can be seen at the exhibition.
