Heraldic Exhibition in the Armorial Hall
About exhibition
The Armorial Hall of Moscow introduces visitors to the capital's full range of symbols — state, territorial and municipal. At the exhibition you can not only examine coats of arms and flags in detail, but also learn about them, as well as the rules for their display, the principles of heraldic etiquette, understand how symbols are created and what deep meanings lie behind simple images. The exhibition features the State Emblem and State Flag of the Russian Federation, the coat of arms and flag of Moscow, copies of the Banner of Victory and the banner of the city of Moscow, armorial emblems and flags of the capital's administrative districts, and the coats of arms and flags of 146 of its municipal formations. A place of honor is given to the depiction of Saint George the Victorious, regarded as the heavenly patron of Moscow.
