Exhibition of the «Russian Emigration» Hall

About exhibition

The hall is dedicated to the outstanding figures of Russian culture who surrounded the great Russian opera singer F. I. Chaliapin during his emigration; it features unique materials, photographs, letters, and personal belongings. The hall was opened at the end of 2007 in the second building of the 'Chaliapin Dacha' museum in Kislovodsk as the first exhibition of this kind in southern Russia. The opening of the hall was made possible thanks to the support of the government of Stavropol Krai, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and the Ministry of Culture of Stavropol Krai. Here you can see exhibits of first-wave emigrants — Baron E. A. von Falz-Fein, S. V. Rachmaninoff, S. S. Prokofiev — as well as the most famous emigrant of the second half of the 20th century, Aleksandr Isaevich Solzhenitsyn.
