Exhibitions of the Vrubel Building

This ticket allows the visitor to tour all exhibition halls of the Vrubel Building. The visitor will have access to the permanent exhibition. The collection is dominated by landscape painting. The academic strand of the genre is represented by the seascapes of I. K. Aivazovsky. The democratic tradition is maintained in works by I. I. Levitan, I. I. Shishkin, A. A. Kiselyov, and N. N. Dubovsky. The landscapes from the Omsk collection vividly illustrate the activities of the "Union of Russian Artists"; "Parade of Premieres." About 170 works significant in artistic and scholarly terms were selected for the exhibition from 12 museum collections covering a wide chronological range — from the Renaissance to the end of the 20th century. Their presentation is a true parade of premieres: some items are exhibited for the first time or shown after a long hiatus, and many works are presented after restoration or with new attribution; "Batik: From Craft to Art." For the first time, the M. A. Vrubel Museum is presenting a nationwide batik exhibition in its halls. The display includes works by the country's leading batik artists, both regular participants in exhibitions of various levels and young authors.
