The museum's exhibitions are organized around the following themes: 'History of the City and District' presents the founding and development of the city of Tuymazy and the Tuymazy district. The spirit of the era can be felt not only through photographs and documents, but also through interior displays: the collective farm chairman's office and the interior of a room from the 1960s; 'Tuymazy Residents on the Fronts of the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945)' tells of the participation of Tuymazy residents in the defense of Leningrad, Moscow, Stalingrad, the Caucasus, and about partisans, underground fighters, and home-front workers. A central place is occupied by the diorama 'The Battle of Stalingrad' with authentic exhibits: a mounted machine gun, a Mosin rifle, mess tins and helmets; 'Material Culture of the Peoples of the Republic of Bashkortostan' introduces visitors to the national costumes of the republic's peoples, examples of decorative and applied arts, household utensils, weaving items, and main occupations—agriculture and animal husbandry; 'Plant and Animal Life of the Republic of Bashkortostan' reveals the richness of the region's flora and fauna.
