About exhibition
Visitors can explore the permanent exhibitions: 'The Great Tea Route' — introduces guests to the history of the main transport artery of the Russian Empire and the tea trade. It features Chinese tea ceremony items, sleds, clothing and much more; 'Wildlife of Tomsk Oblast' — showcases the richness and diversity of Siberian fauna, with taxidermy animals and birds; 'The Stone Age in the Tomsk–Narym Priobye region' — devoted to the earliest history of the Tomsk land, the Stone Age, and includes archaeological finds; 'Once Upon a Time' — an interactive exhibition introducing the basics of Russian folk culture. Temporary exhibitions on view include: 'Stylish Tomsk' — antique furniture from the museum collection; 'Five Minutes to the Hour — It's Time' — floor, wall and mantel clocks with various mechanisms; 'Tomsk Residents in the Special Military Operation' — the feats of Tomsk citizens at the front and on the home front; 'War — Hard Work' — dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition presents household items from the 1940s, weapons, products of evacuated factories, medical items from evacuation hospitals, documents, awards, and more.
