The Tashtagol Museum of Ethnography and Nature of Mountain Shoria was established in 1989 to understand and study the historical and cultural heritage of Mountain Shoria, in particular the indigenous small-numbered peoples—the Shors and the Old Believers—and to pass this knowledge on to future generations. The museum's five halls tell the story of the development of the mining industry in Mountain Shoria, describe the features of the local nature, and introduce visitors to the material and spiritual culture of the Shors and Siberian Old Believers. The museum also features an exhibition on the archaeology of Mountain Shoria — the display Reconstruction of the burial Kabyrzin Princess (7th–6th centuries BC). It presents the Stone Age periods (Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic) and the Bronze Age, showcasing finds from the largest archaeological discovery in Mountain Shoria.
