Exhibitions "Rurikids", "Romanovs"
About exhibition
The "Rurikids" exhibition, using modern technologies—interactive tables, multimedia books, and touch screens—tells the history of Russia from the formation of the early Rus' state to the Time of Troubles. Visitors learn about the rule of the first princes, the flourishing of the state under Yaroslav the Wise, the period of feudal fragmentation, and the unification of Rus' under the authority of the Moscow princes. The exhibition concludes with halls dedicated to the reigns of the last Rurikids—Ivan IV the Terrible and his son Fyodor Ivanovich. The "Romanovs" exhibition tells the story of the events that directly preceded the accession of the new dynasty, the establishment of the Russian Empire under Peter the Great, the Era of Palace Revolutions, and other events from 1598 to 1914.
