Exhibitions of the Novosibirsk State Art Museum
About exhibition
The exhibition "Heroines of Everyday Life" features about 100 works: portraits, genre compositions, and posters. Among them are outstanding works by Konstantin Dorokhov, Arkady Plastov, Alexander Samokhvalov, and Alexander Deineka. A distinctive triptych is formed by portraits of women from different social groups: "Maryuta. Mordovian Kolkhoz" by Irina Vitman, "The Counselor" by Vyacheslav Mariupolsky, and "Portrait of the Wife" by Alexander Mylnikov. In the "Golden Myanmar" exhibition, through works of art, photographs, and video materials, residents and visitors of Novosibirsk can immerse themselves in the rich heritage of a state that had a significant influence on the development of Southeast Asia. Visitors will see more than 130 items. You have the opportunity to experience the spiritual and cultural heritage of a country where millennia-old history, natural grandeur, and living tradition combine in harmonious unity. A solo exhibition of the Novosibirsk painter and one of Russia's most famous and respected watercolorists, Viktor Bukharov, at the Novosibirsk State Art Museum is timed to the artist's 80th birthday. The collection includes about 70 works from various periods, both paintings and graphic works. Whatever the artist paints or turns to — a studio interior, a female portrait, or an industrial landscape — his guiding theme is always the same: "The Artist".
