About exhibition

The museum's exhibition is organized into the following sections: the natural history section introduces the natural attractions of Bashkortostan; the archaeology section covers the Stone and Bronze Ages in the territory of Bashkortostan — in the hall visitors can see tools for work, hunting and fishing, numerous ceramics, and learn about the life of ancient people; the region's history comprises 12 halls. The museum houses a rich collection of materials on the region's history: photographs, original documents and unique exhibits, spanning from the 15th century to the present day; the ethnography of the peoples of Bashkortostan presents their rich material and spiritual culture, national festivals and rituals, and describes their main occupations and crafts.
