Exhibitions of the Dalnegorsk Museum and Exhibition Center
About exhibition
The museum houses 11 permanent exhibitions. The archaeological exhibition displays finds discovered in the territory of the Dalnegorsk district and Primorsky Krai. The historical exhibition contains documents, photographs and tools used by the first miners, recounting the discovery of the Tetyukhinsky polymetallic deposits and the emergence of the mining industry. Panels are dedicated to local residents who participated in the Great Patriotic War and in local conflicts in Afghanistan and Chechnya. A particular pride is the mineralogical exhibition, which comprises 7,839 specimens from Dalnegorsk's rich polymetallic and boron deposits. The collection also includes specimens from Russia and more than 30 countries worldwide. The "Nature of Northern Primorye" exhibition is devoted to animals and birds, including rare and endangered species. Other exhibitions on display include: "Socio-economic Development of the District", "Adit" (mine tunnel), "Tools and Industrial Equipment", "Peasant Life", and the Art Salon.
