Exhibitions of the Strelets Chambers Museum
About exhibition
The exhibition 'People in Service of the Muscovite State' is dedicated to the history of the development of the country's armed forces in the 17th century. The exhibition route runs through eight halls featuring authentic weapons, rare archival documents, archaeological finds, large-scale installations and models, reconstructions of uniforms, supplemented by artistic paintings and multimedia panoramas that allow visitors to imagine the grandeur and distinctiveness of the era of the Moscow streltsy. The 'Moscow Streltsy' exhibition is a space where, in the white-stone chambers of the 17th century, the 400-year history of the house and its owners merges with the history of the streltsy corps and the foundations of military service of that time. The exhibition is devoted to the history of the emergence of the streltsy troops and the military reforms of the early Romanovs.
