Exhibitions of the Museum of the Family of Emperor Nicholas II

In 1917 members of Emperor Nicholas II’s family were housed in the former residence of the Siberian governors — the Governor’s House. The museum halls contain numerous genuine exhibits: preserved photographs, household items, and original and restored interior details. The memorial building itself, and even the view from its window, allow visitors to understand and feel both the grandeur and the tragedy of the emperor’s family. In preparation for the museum’s exhibitions, 235 items from the museum’s collections were specifically restored and are presented in the displays.
