The apartment on Birzhevoy Lane attracted the artist's attention with its large attic studio, which offers a view of the Strelka of Vasilievsky Island. This house is called the 'House of Artists' because at different times such well-known painters as M. P. Klodt, G. G. Myasoedov, I. I. Shishkin, I. N. Kramskoy and others lived here. The study and the living room are open to visitors of the apartment museum. The artist's studio currently presents an exhibition dedicated to his teaching activities at the Academy of Arts, where he was a professor of landscape painting and headed a studio.
