About exhibition
The first museum dedicated to Alexander Blok — a central figure of the Silver Age of Russian culture. Opened on 25 November 1980 to mark the 100th anniversary of the poet's birth, it is located in the house where Blok spent the last nine years of his life. From 1912 he rented an apartment on the 4th floor, and in 1920 moved to the 2nd. It was here, in apartment No. 23, that he died on 7 August 1921. The ticket entitles the holder to visit the following exhibitions: “Memorial.” Based on numerous contemporaries' recollections and other sources, the poet's study, the dining room, the bedroom and the poet's wife's room have been recreated.
