Exhibitions of the Ivan the Terrible Museum
About exhibition
In the royal monuments and underground chambers — exhibitions rich in rarities, including imperial objects — such as “The Tsar's Court in Alexandrovskaya Sloboda” with multimedia screens, “The Last Secret of Ivan the Terrible,” and “The Tsar's Kvass House.” They tell of the tsar's stay at his favorite residence. In the intimate chambers of the Raspyatskaya Bell Tower you'll find displays about life in the sloboda of the Romanov sovereigns, the history of the monastery's founding, and the famous legends of the medieval capital. Among the 18th–19th century monuments is a fascinating complex reflecting the life of the era: “In the Merchant's Shop,” “The World of the Provincial Estate,” “The World of the Russian Village,” and rotating exhibitions in a special museum hall.
