About exhibition
The Museum of History was opened on June 5, 1988 (on the 50th anniversary of the city). The museum's main areas of activity include collection management, cultural and educational programs, historical-patriotic work, local history, and environmental activities. Active research is carried out into the history of the city and the district. Local history exhibitions: "Nature of Primorsky Krai" (introduces the Ussuri taiga, the protected areas of Primorsky Krai, and the diversity of animal and plant life); "Pages from the Lutkov Chronicle" (presents the history of the settlement and development of the Lutkovskaya volost and the Donskoy stanitsa district — the present territory of the Lesozavodsk urban district — by the first peasant and Cossack settlements on the left and right banks of the Ussuri River); "War as Reflected in the Past" (dedicated to the combat and labor feats of Lesozavodsk's heroes — defenders of the Motherland in various historical periods); "The Enterprise That Gave the City Its Name" (devoted to the history of the city's foundational enterprises: the Ussuriysk Woodworking Combine and the Biochemical Plant).
