Exhibitions of the Khabarovsk Museum of History
About exhibition
A visitor can explore the permanent exhibitions and temporary displays, gaining an understanding of the founding and development of the city of Khabarovsk. They will see ancient artifacts, the culture of the indigenous peoples of the Amur region and Slavic settlers, the city's earliest entrepreneurs, and aspects of urban everyday life. The exhibitions also cover the dramatic chapters of the Civil War and foreign intervention, and the rebuilding and reconstruction of the city's economy in the 1920s–1930s. A dedicated section is devoted to the Great Patriotic War — the heroism of Khabarovsk residents both at the front and on the home front. The postwar period is vividly presented — the 1950s–1960s — a time when the city grew rapidly and acquired entirely new characteristics. Visitors will also be interested to learn about Khabarovsk's sister cities in different parts of the world — in Asia and North America.
