Exhibitions of the Lev Bardamov Museum-Gallery
About exhibition
Today the gallery is one of the best-known private museums in the Republic of Buryatia. In this mansion, across 18 halls, more than 5,000 original works by Buryat artists are on display: portraits of prominent figures, still lifes, landscapes, and sketches. Of particular interest are household items of an urban resident from the late 19th to early 20th century: furniture, tableware, utensils, and antique musical instruments. Permanent exhibitions are currently open that reveal the history of Verkhneudinsk (Ulan-Ude) and Buryatia. The collection of exceedingly rare books that once belonged to merchants, townspeople, and ordinary residents of Verkhneudinsk is unique.
