Exhibits of the G.O.R.A. Museum

About exhibition

Interactive Museum “G.O.R.A.” ("Main Army Weapon Relics") is one of Russia's largest open-air collections of World War II military equipment. On a 10-hectare site there is a unique collection of weaponry. More than 400 rare exhibits are displayed in themed locations — from passenger cars to heavy tanks and fighter aircraft. Visitors can see an exhibition of the Soviet Navy from the Great Patriotic War (World War II). The surface area of the artificial reservoir where the ships are displayed is over 2,600 sq. m, and the water volume exceeds 10,000 tons. Among the exhibits are the barrel of a turret gun from a Sevastopol-class battleship; the conning towers of two submarines — the II-series mine-layer L-3 “Frunzovets” and the medium submarine ShCh-307 “Treska”; the river artillery boat “Shmel” (project 1204); and the torpedo boat “Komsomolets” (project 123‑bis). A separate section is devoted to aviation: outdoors are displayed Soviet aircraft La-5, I-16, Yak-3, U-2, Il-4, as well as the American fighter-bomber P-63 “Kingcobra” and others. Visitors can also explore armored vehicles — the collection features the acclaimed World War II tank, the Soviet T-34. Interactive displays, live battle reenactments, reconstructed historical sets and special effects await visitors.
