Exhibitions of the Tula Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art
About exhibition
The first hall takes the visitor into the world of peasant life of the 19th–early 20th century and displays traditional items made by skilled craftsmen. The second hall acquaints visitors with the domestic life of well-to-do townspeople. Both handmade objects and factory-made products are presented here, often of European manufacture. Particular attention is drawn to a collection of mantel clocks with elegant bronze, onyx and malachite ornamentation. Museum visitors will be interested in exquisite bouillotte and kerosene lamps, as well as snuffboxes, beaded purses and jewelry boxes. For inquiries: +7 (4872) 77-04-20.
