Exhibitions of the S. T. Aksakov Memorial House-Museum
About exhibition
The Aksakov-Zubov House is a unique architectural monument of the second half of the 18th century. On your own, without a guide, you can walk through and view several rooms of the noble house in the late Empire style. These include the "Grand Drawing Room", the "Swaddling Room", the "Second Children's Room", the "Dining Room", the "Maiden's Room" and others. In the memorial rooms the setting from the period when little Seryozha lived with his parents has been recreated as faithfully as possible. In the interiors you will see antique furniture — a sideboard, a longcase clock, a secretaire, a small occasional table, a psyché mirror, a lady's dressing chest, a tub chair and household items from a long-gone era.
