The museum's exhibitions are dedicated to the city's history. Here you can learn about the reasons for the settlement's founding in the early 18th century and the role the Demidov dynasty of factory owners played in it. The displays feature rare artifacts and works of art from the 18th–20th centuries, allowing visitors to trace how a small factory settlement grew into one of the Urals' largest industrial centers. Visitors will see remarkable Demidov rarities, a collection of family portraits, works by serf craftsmen from Tagil, and unique advertising items produced by Nizhny Tagil factories in the 19th century.
